Coach & Team Guide
Set up your coaching dashboard in 3 steps.
Prerequisites
To access the coaching features, you need:
- A Brake Point account with a B2B plan (Coach, School, or Team)
- The TRAINER role, automatically assigned with your B2B subscription
- Your pilots must have their own Brake Point account (free plan works)
Search & request pilot access
- Log in to app.brakepoint.io
- Navigate to My Pilots in the sidebar
- Use the Search Pilots field to find your pilot by name or email
- Click Request Access on the pilot's result card
A confirmation toast "Request Sent" confirms the request was sent. The pilot receives an email notification.
Request statuses
Wait for pilot approval
Brake Point uses a consent-based model. The pilot always decides who can see their telemetry data.
When you send a request, the pilot receives an email with a direct link to their Settings page. From there, they can approve or reject your request.
Once approved, the pilot appears in your My Pilots list with a green "Approved" badge, and you can click View Sessions to access their data.
Tip for schools: Share the Pilot Guide with your students so they know how to create their account and approve your access request.
Use the Coach Dashboard
Once you have approved pilots, navigate to the Coach Dashboard in the sidebar. The dashboard shows an overview of your pilots' activity:
- Stats cards — sessions this month, total sessions, average improvement, most active circuit
- Filters — filter by pilot, circuit, and category to focus your analysis
Sessions
View all sessions uploaded by your pilots. See circuit, date, best lap time, and lap count for each session.
Comparison
Compare pilot performance side by side. See best lap, average lap, consistency, and delta to the leader.
Progression
Track each pilot's improvement over time. See best and average lap trends across sessions.
Leaderboard
Rank your pilots at each circuit and category. Identify who's leading and who needs attention.
Quick access: From a pilot's card in My Pilots, click View Sessions to jump directly to their session list.
Tips for coaches
- Use BudAI analysis — each pilot's session can be analyzed by BudAI, your AI race engineer. The analysis provides turn-by-turn coaching advice you can discuss with your pilot.
- Compare at the same circuit — the Comparison tab is most useful when pilots ride the same circuit. Select a circuit and category to get meaningful comparisons.
- Track progression over weeks — the Progression tab shows improvement trends. Use it during debrief to show your pilot how their lap times are evolving.
- Top Performer badge — the pilot with the biggest improvement gets a "Top Performer" badge on the dashboard. Use it to motivate your group.
About pilot accounts
Each pilot needs their own Brake Point account. The free plan is sufficient — pilots don't need a paid subscription for you to view their data.
Pilots upload their telemetry files themselves (or you can share files with them to upload). Once uploaded, the data appears in your Coach Dashboard automatically.
Pilots retain full control: they can revoke your access at any time from their Settings page.
