Mecamax: the first karting circuit on Brake Point
Mecamax, in the Vendée, is the first karting circuit added to Brake Point. Full track outline, laps cut on a real line crossing, and turn-by-turn analysis over 700 m.
Brake Point welcomes its first karting circuit: Mecamax, in the Vendée. The full track outline and its 10 corners are in, and kart sessions now analyse just like any motorcycle or car session.
Why karting, why now
Until now, Brake Point’s 33 circuits were motorcycle and car tracks, from 1 km to 7 km. A karting circuit is another world: 700 m, corners that follow one another without respite, and above all laps under a minute. On a 48-second lap, a tenth weighs twice what it weighs at Le Mans.
That is exactly where telemetry gets interesting. There is less room to recover, and the gaps come down to line details you cannot see with the naked eye.

What it looks like on a real session
Our reference session at Mecamax was recorded with a RaceBox: 12 laps, best time 48.44 s, peaking at 66 km/h. Every lap measures 675 m give or take a few metres, which confirms the split lands in the right place, lap after lap.
That point is not a detail. On a layout this tight, the Mecamax finish line sits 25 m from a stretch of track driven in the opposite direction. A “passing near a point” split counts that return pass as a lap and manufactures 40 s laps that never happened. Brake Point now cuts the lap on the real line crossing, in the correct direction of travel. The phantom laps are gone.
